Down ass chick or Upgrade me?

I'm sure everyone has heard about the Chris Brown, Rihanna and Karrueche Tran saga. For those of you that don't know, I will try to bring you up to speed as quickly as possible.

Well... Rhinanna and Chris broke up in 2009 after that big Grammys fiasco. Since then, the two have moved on and dated other people. Chris seemed to be lucky because he found Karrueche and the two were inseparable. This girl went through all the probation madness, countless bad press and she did it with a smile. Fast forward four years later, Chris makes a vlog of some sort professing his love for two women (Rih & Karrueche), shortly after he breaks up with Karrueche and now he is currently in a relationship with Rihanna.

I personally think Rihanna and Chris belong together… I mean have you seen them? The chemistry is most certainly there. I also love the fact that Rihanna followed her heart and was willing to be ridiculed and mocked in effort to do what was best for her. What a life lesson that was!

Everyone is all happy Rih and Chris are back together, but what happens to the down ass chick? The Bonnie to his Clyde. The chick that every man says they want… What happens to the ride or die? Is there no honor in that? Many women believe the ride or die chick gets no love. To a certain extent I have to agree.

Many women feel that once a man gets to a certain level of success, he chucks the deuces to the "ride or die" and gets a new piece. Although, I don’t think every instance is that cut and dry, you can't really deny the similarities in certain instances.

certainly think there are rules to this down ass chick life. What do you think?  Ride with the rider? or Get that upgrade?

Happy Hour!

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I love me some Happy hour. What could possibly be better than professionals getting hammered after a long hard days work in a super ritzy environment? The best part about a good happy hour are the amazing prices. An other wise pricey establishment just became affordable between the hours of 3-7. I'm in the giving mood so I will share a few of my all time favorites with you.

1. The Four Seasons in Baltimore MD is my all time favorite. The location accompanied by the fact that a Michael Minas sushi bar is inside the hotel as well.  Most drinks and appetizers are only $5.

2. Bandera in Brentwood is FAB! Live jazz daily with all drinks made with fresh ingredients. No syrups or artificial sweeteners.

3. Wolfgangs of Beverly hills is amazing. This place is all about the bar. The bartenders are super sweet and I appreciate the family like atmosphere.

4. The Penthouse at Mastro's has the best steakhouse bar/lounge menu. So many different items to choose from. It doesn't hurt that its Maesto's either.

5. Crustaceans Beverly Hills speaks for its self. Such a Hollywood hot spot. I'm sure all of your favorite stars have made an appearance here. The garlic noodles are to DIE for.

One of my friends put me on to the best happy hour app. Search "Happy Hours" on your iPhone. You will find great happy hours in your area and the times they begin & end.

Friendships: The rise and the fall

How many times have we been really close to someone and felt this friendship would never end? Not only were you guy’s friends, you considered each other family. Now you find yourself not speaking to this person. Maybe you guys had a falling out or maybe one of you guys moved away and simply grew apart. I believe this has happened to everyone at some point in life.

If you’re into “self improvement” as I am, You may find yourself wondering what it was that you did wrong? How could you have done better and why did the friendship end?

After years of meeting and losing contact with people I honestly think that not one person is more at fault then the other. Friendships are sometimes for a reason. For example; If you were really into partying and hanging out, then you stop. You may find that you don’t run out with the same group. No one person is at fault, you simply grew apart.

After years of having different falling outs with people you realize that you are simply not on the same page. Someone in the friendship may be feeling “some kinda way” about the other person and the issue never gets resolved.

Once you walk away from the friendship you move on with life and everything else is water under the bridge. Through out life we will not like everyone that we meet. I think it's human to to disagree.

We can easily get caught up in the emotion of the situation or the “he said, she said”. The fact of the matter is that on the outside looking in, no one wins in a battle of words. No one wins in a physical altercation. The only victory is the one that you win internally. If the friendship is worth saving, save it! If you would be better off without all that baggage let them go. It really is that simple.

Natural Hair Journey

I decided to hop on the bandwagon and go all #TeamNatural. Natural hair that is. About 2 winters ago I got a sort hair cut and instead of getting a touch up with a relaxer I decided to let my hair grow out. While transitioning to all natural hair, I just decided to wear various sew ins and I made my own Upart wigs. Since I decided to transition I didn't do a big Chop, I just cut the relaxed ends off as my natural hair grew. Now that I am into my first year of all natural hair I can tell you that in regard to the overall health of my hair, going natural was one of the best decisions I have ever made. A few items that work best for me are:

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Loreal Evercream Sulfate free Moisture System Shampoo and Conditioner

Organix Coconut Milk

Both the Loreal and the Organix work great on Virgin Hair Extensions

I use a few more products but I will be making a Youtube video to show my progress and what I use.

Justin Timberlakes' "'The 20/20 Experience"

Justin Timberlakes' 20/20 was released and I am loving me some J.T. If you're anything like me you have been rocking with J.T since N'sync days. This man is truly a visionary.  So far my favorite tracks are: "Blue Ocean Floor", "That girl", "Strawberry bubblegum" and "Don't hold the wall".

This album got me body rolling all over the place.

In honor of Justins' new album, I decided to share one of my favorite J.T videos and a true brake out Performance. Jeeze, I used to love this song. Truly repeat worthy in it's day!
