Orange County Wrap up

The St. Regis is one of my all time favorite hotels for many reasons. Reason number one being that whilst traveling as often as I do it’s great to have luxury brands offer some sort of rewards or points system. Paired with the points earned from American express you could end up with a great stay for next to nothing. The St. Regis Dana Point is absolutely stunning. While there I had a fresh berry signature cocktail made with a blend of several fresh berries with Vodka. Soooooooo good!

Newest additions to the Makeup bag

With the fall season approaching I decided to add a few good products to my makeup bag. In effort to switch out my cool summer colours for that of a warmer tone, I decided upon a few glosses and a few good bronzers/blush pallets.

Hairspiration & Hair Anniversary

As many of you know I’m on my natural hair journey. With all the joys of having healthier, natural hair also comes a few down points. This month is my actual hair-anniversary I’m going into my second year post transitioning for about a year. I’m sure many of naturals have gone through that awkward hair moment when your one twist-out away from ending it all and getting back on the creamy crack. Don’t get me wrong… I love my natural curls but the convenience that comes with relaxed hair is nice. So after months of braids and protective styles I wanted to celebrate my hair anniversary with my natural hair pressed as a way to mark my journey.

Angry Much?

 "The moment " I think I'm giving up on black women... You guys always are angry or wake up angry".... I'm going to say something. But if your girl is angry every time she wakes up maybe she's angry because she wakes up to YOU every morning. I'm sure the days she sleeps alone she is fine. Stop making comments like this... We are NOT all alike and maybe just maybe it's something about you that sets her off. (Or just the sight of your face)" 

One of my Facebook friends put up this stat in response to men calling black women angry. Although I myself am a black woman I decided to focus on all women not just black women. I honestly believe that all women go through similar things. This post is my attempt to take a few steps back and go at this topic from both sides...
