Knock it off!

I absolutely despise cheap looking Sh*t!!! Whether it be cheap looking Weave, Shoes, Clothes, Belts or Bags... There simply is no reason for it. Listed below are a 2 common fashion faux pas I see everyday.

1. You know you cant fit that...

No matter how expensive this belt is (If it's real) the whole fit made it look like it wasn't worth more than 2 bucks. Ill fitting clothing is a sure way to make ANY outfit look less than stellar.

Kim is wearing a very similar belt paired with a basic white collared shirt and jeans.
The fit makes a world of a difference.

2. Bad weave

Hell to the NO!

Blend!!! I do understand not everyone can afford to pay hundreds on their hair... blending is free.
Pay close attention to your hair texture and the texture of the hair you buy. Silky straight NEVER blends with Yaki!

If you really want a certain texture of hair but you're not really sure that your hair will blend in with
the weave... Maybe you should try a closure.

I really like the Lace closures... They look like the hair is coming right out of your scalp.
Be careful with the install. You don't want it to come off looking too fake.

Im sure we all have had a fashion miss-hap once or twice... I believe in sharing things that I learn with others, in the hopes that others would share wonderful things with me. I hope some of you find this post useful.

What do you want out of life?

So after a great dinner at Ruths Chris Steakhouse, M.A. and I decided to go to one of our favorite Wine and Tapas Lounges for a little night cap. While chatting it up with my guy about our up coming move, the bartender asked us a simple question... But for me it was such a complex answer. She was currently bar tending at night, and working in retail during the day, and she simply asked "how did you guys know what you wanted to do in life".

Typically when someone asks me a question like that I would reply with a common cookie cutter answer that would apply to the job/career that I had at the moment. Kinda like those answers we have already prepared for a job interview. Not this time... This time I had an honest answer. I, like many other young folk in our early 20's, really didn't know what I wanted to do in life... I knew what I was good at. I knew what other people told me I should do. I had a general idea of what I did not want to do.

Once I got to California, I saw life being lived the way people wanted to live and my whole attitude towards work and having a career changed. I saw people sitting on the beach "working" from their lap tops. I saw models "working" at events, photo-shoots and night clubs I saw people getting up driving 2+ hours away in traffic just to work and I saw trust fund babies doing whatever they wanted to do and sparring no expense.

So here I am given several different paths to pursue, and for the first time I felt like I could be honest with myself about what I wanted to do...

So to answer my bartenders question "How do you guys know what you wanted to do in life" I replied to her with the most honest answer I had given anyone... I told her to be "honest with yourself". Sounds simple huh? Not quite... You see being honest with yourself about what you want out of life may sound superficial to some... People may think your crazy, or you may already be on your way down that path.

Once you know what you want out of life you can put a plan in motion to get to where you want to GO! If all you want out of life are tangible things you are limiting yourself substantially. I would not recommend you set a life goal to get a car or home or vacations. When people say that... What I really hear is a person who still is not being honest... What you REALLY want is the money to be able to sustain those objects and to me that translates to financial security. Put a plan in motion to become financially free!!! If someone gave you a Roll Royce right now, Could you afford to keep it? When you set your sights at the top, all the material things will come!

I hear so many women say they want to be single and independent and if that is the path you chose that is great... but if you really want to be married some day, be honest about your desires... There is NOTHING wrong with being in a loving relationship and having a wonderful PARTNERSHIP.

Your dreams don't have to be shared with the world... Protect your dreams! In my discovery I found that once I say to myself what I really want out of life... I find the process of getting there is not as hard as I once thought.

God Bless

Sexy Saturday

VS Pro Illuminator

VS PRO Radiant FX Face Illuminator

I love this stuff girls! You can mix it with your foundation for an all over glow or use it as a highlight on your lips, eyes, and nose. It's a Victory Secret in the beauty section for about 15 bucks. Try it out and let me know what you think.

This is me with just a pea size drop of VS Pro & face moisturizer. I use this when I want a nice even glow with no makeup... The dewy look is always in style.

This is VS Pro as a highlighter... a bit on the nose, cheeks and Cupid's bow for a natural glow.

LOVE IT!

I workout ???

Back in the day I was the skinny friend... you know... the girl everyone lovingly referred to as "the skinny b***h". Well these days I'm not so skinny, at least in my mind. I was once coasting along at a comfy 110lbs. I am now finding myself creeping up towards the 130 mark and I am desperately trying to fight my way back down to about 115. So in my attempt to get back to the body I am oh so accustomed to. I have decided to try a few weight loss products to help me get motivated.

First up is Tonalin Cla:

Listed on the bottle Tonalin claims to:
  • reduce body fat
  • increase muscle retention
  • helps keep fat off & prevent regain
In my experience this doesn't work. My tummy did not look like the bottle after one week of use. In fact I did not see any change at all! I ate the same food and stayed in bed all day like normal, but for some reason this crap wasn't working. With that being said on to the next.

OxyElite Pro:

Now, if you're looking for instant results I say this baby is right up your alley. Oxyelite is no hoe in the energy department. After 20 minutes of swallowing this gem you will feel like running a triathlon in the pouring rain, in cowboy boots. Its a great energy booster partially because it has 100 mg of caffeine. (M.A* and I take them when we need a quick pick me up after a long night of partying... don't judge us) I have never done speed but it has to feel something like oxyelite. As far as losing weight goes it definitely suppresses your appetite so much so you have to force yourself to eat. And I did just that...  I forced myself to eat and I saw marginal results from my usage. I should note that Oxyelite does have rather um... interesting side effects such as depression & anxiety but who cares... you will be fit and sexy in a bikini so you have to weigh the good and bad...

Third and Final 24 hour fitness:

OK... so the gym would be the traditional method and that is exactly why this was at the bottom of my list. Who wants to work out when you can eat what you want, do nothing and have a supermodel body? Dreams do come true right? Anyway, my experience at the gym was great my first day. Paired with baby speed  Oxyelite and a tread mill I was unstoppable! Since then I've been in the gym almost everyday and a few of my observations have provided a good laugh while people watching from my elliptical machine.

  • How do you go to the gym and get a full read in... I'm sweating bullets on these damn machines all the while Suzy fit body is reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't understand.
  • This is a gym right? Why do I feel like this is the end of the night at a night club and guys are looking around to see who looks good once the lights get turned on? I mean seriously. I don't know about the rest of the world but I'm so not interested in any guy while I'm sweating out my weave... how could you possibly be attracted to anyone in the gym?
Still I must keep pressing on... Obesity is next to death to me so I shall be a size 2 again.

*M.A. is my man, my boo, my all... so if you see him tell him I said that.

In the beginning...

So how shall I begin? Well... having had several blogs the past several years, I'm right back where I started... I guess its kinda coming full circle. This go rounds is my attempt to share a little about myself, my journey and how my mind works. Enjoy the ride...
