TCA Peel

So, as you all know I am willing to try just about anything in the name of “beauty” so the next beauty tip should come as no surprise to some of you.  I decided to do a TCA peel also known as a chemical peel on my face and ears.

I know some of you guys are like “what’s a TCA peel?” Well, TCA is short for Trichloroacetic acid, which is a chemical that has been used by dermatologist for years. TCA is commonly used for acne scarring, dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles. The Idea is that the TCA will strip (burn) a layer of your skin, causing the skin to flake revealing a slightly lighter and tighter version of skin. I do not have problems with acne, so I should be ok in the face department. My only areas of concern are my ears. I am actually allergic to fake and or coated metals, I should only be wearing pure gold or silver so my ears do tend to break out once in a while from wearing costume jewelry. I love a fun pair of earrings, but my ears… not so much. Over the years they have gotten a lil darker and I just want to get them back on track.

TCA Peels have been used for acne scarring, dark spots, fine lines, wrinkes, dark underarms and stretch marks just to name a few. I just ordered my 30% TCA capsule on Amazon earlier this week. While I’m awaiting the delivery I decide to give you guys the heads up so that you can do research on your own if interested. Please do your research to make sure a TCA peel is good for you. There are several other chemical peels and TCA percentages that may work better for you… I personally have done TCA peels before in the past. This is my first time trying 30%.

MyInvisibleChyrsalis was the inspiration behind my choice to try the peel... look at her... just gorge!

NOTE: There is some down time with doing this peel because your skin will flake and shed.

I workout ???

Back in the day I was the skinny friend... you know... the girl everyone lovingly referred to as "the skinny b***h". Well these days I'm not so skinny, at least in my mind. I was once coasting along at a comfy 110lbs. I am now finding myself creeping up towards the 130 mark and I am desperately trying to fight my way back down to about 115. So in my attempt to get back to the body I am oh so accustomed to. I have decided to try a few weight loss products to help me get motivated.

First up is Tonalin Cla:

Listed on the bottle Tonalin claims to:
  • reduce body fat
  • increase muscle retention
  • helps keep fat off & prevent regain
In my experience this doesn't work. My tummy did not look like the bottle after one week of use. In fact I did not see any change at all! I ate the same food and stayed in bed all day like normal, but for some reason this crap wasn't working. With that being said on to the next.

OxyElite Pro:

Now, if you're looking for instant results I say this baby is right up your alley. Oxyelite is no hoe in the energy department. After 20 minutes of swallowing this gem you will feel like running a triathlon in the pouring rain, in cowboy boots. Its a great energy booster partially because it has 100 mg of caffeine. (M.A* and I take them when we need a quick pick me up after a long night of partying... don't judge us) I have never done speed but it has to feel something like oxyelite. As far as losing weight goes it definitely suppresses your appetite so much so you have to force yourself to eat. And I did just that...  I forced myself to eat and I saw marginal results from my usage. I should note that Oxyelite does have rather um... interesting side effects such as depression & anxiety but who cares... you will be fit and sexy in a bikini so you have to weigh the good and bad...

Third and Final 24 hour fitness:

OK... so the gym would be the traditional method and that is exactly why this was at the bottom of my list. Who wants to work out when you can eat what you want, do nothing and have a supermodel body? Dreams do come true right? Anyway, my experience at the gym was great my first day. Paired with baby speed  Oxyelite and a tread mill I was unstoppable! Since then I've been in the gym almost everyday and a few of my observations have provided a good laugh while people watching from my elliptical machine.

  • How do you go to the gym and get a full read in... I'm sweating bullets on these damn machines all the while Suzy fit body is reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't understand.
  • This is a gym right? Why do I feel like this is the end of the night at a night club and guys are looking around to see who looks good once the lights get turned on? I mean seriously. I don't know about the rest of the world but I'm so not interested in any guy while I'm sweating out my weave... how could you possibly be attracted to anyone in the gym?
Still I must keep pressing on... Obesity is next to death to me so I shall be a size 2 again.

*M.A. is my man, my boo, my all... so if you see him tell him I said that.
